DACM
Project Management provided services during the planning
and design of a major expansion to increase capacity and improve effluent
quality (addition of the C-502 and C-503 units) at this City of Los
Angeles facility located in the San Fernando Valley near Griffith
Park. We reviewed project specifications, and developed telemetry
and control systems designed to interface coordination criteria not
only within the Zoo itself but in conjunction with the other wastewater
treatment facilities within the City system .During the construction
process, DACM Project Management
provided a wide array of services which included project controls
and construction contractor interface coordination. Our role also
included quality control / quality assurance inspections, coordination
and oversight of the communications systems installation, and review
of the operations computer software modifications.
As a final service, We were responsible for coordinating and supervising the installation
of the alarm system instrumentation associated with the Zoo’s
wastewater facility. As construction was completed and the facility
transitioned into an operating mode, we reviewed Operations and Maintenance
Manuals, developed and reviewed procedures for testing control systems,
interfaced with other facilities relative to emergency operations
during startup, and reviewed calibration and startup procedures.
