Southern California Headquarters
Modernization and Remodel

The Southern California Automobile Club, a subsidiary of the American Automobile Association, maintains its headquarters in the Los Angeles business district on South Figueroa Street. As a result of the need to keep pace with advancing technology, it became necessary to modernize the campus. In total, the modernization affected approximately 122,294 square feet of structure. Leaving the electrical infrastructure intact, N.A. Cohen Group's design included demolition and removal of existing branch wiring and light fixtures. The design further called for installation of energy efficient fluorescent light fixtures and variable speed air supply fans. Finally, the modernization included the installation of a sophisticated energy management system which would provide the Automobile Club with a high degree of flexibility and control.

DACM Project Management prepared a lump sum bid for all CSI Division 16 components of the Automobile Club Building 4. Performing to the high standards of DACM Project Management estimating department, a thorough review of the bid documents was conducted. It entailed identifying all specifics of the scope of work, securing quotations from numerous wholesale material suppliers, and preparing all the material quantity take-offs necessary for accurate costing of the project. Additionally, our services included providing data for and securing quotations from various low-voltage systems subcontractors who would provide the installation of fire / life safety and communications systems.
